program & curriculum
Our Toddler Program addresses the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of each child. We use hands-on exploration and social interaction to help your child learn about his or her expanding world. The Toddler Room is specifically designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of children approximately 14 months to 2 years old. The activities, manipulatives, art projects, climbing structure and outdoor equipment are selected specifically for this age group.
Social-Emotional: A primary focus is on teaching and reinforcing basic and important social skills, such as sharing, self-help, expressing empathy and being a good friend. We support children’s emotional development with activities that build confidence in their growing abilities, promoting self-esteem and independence.
Physical Development: Children are encouraged to be children! For gross motor skill development, we offer an array of well-designed, age-appropriate and safe play structures and equipment (rockers, tricycles/small bikes). To aid in fine motor skill development, we provide manipulatives, and other classroom tools and activities.
Our teachers develop and value a relationship with the whole family. By getting to know each child and their family in a unique way, teachers are better equipped to meet each toddler’s individual needs.
The classroom is open from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm.
Our children range in age from 14 months to 24 months.
You will receive a written Toddler Tale at the end of your child’s day. A Toddler Tale is a daily diary where we record everything we do throughout the day.
Naptime is from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm every day.
Active Daily Toddler Schedule
We provide an active schedule that provides an age-appropriate mix of stimulating activities, including art, music, singing, movement and outdoor play.
We offer an environment which encourages intellectual, social and physical development, while providing children a very safe and supportive environment in which to learn, discover and grow.
